Who we are

NortSide Connect is a software development and business automation provider based in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. We are the responsible party for the personal information collected through this website, as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

When you submit the enquiry form we collect the name, email address, phone number, business name, service interest, budget range, timeline and message that you choose to give us.

We also record technical information that arrives with the submission: your IP address, browser user agent, the page you submitted from, the site that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link you clicked. This is used to spot spam and to understand which channels bring genuine enquiries.

We do not use advertising cookies. The only cookie this site sets is a session cookie that protects the enquiry form against cross-site request forgery. It expires when you close your browser.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry. That is the whole purpose.

We keep a record of enquiries so that we can pick up a conversation later, quote accurately and prove what was agreed. We never sell your information, never rent it, and never add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.

Who can see it

Your enquiry is emailed to our enquiries inbox and stored on our own hosting. It is also delivered to our internal client dashboard so the team can pick it up.

The only third parties involved are our email host and our web host, both of which process the information on our instruction. We do not share your details with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. Where an enquiry becomes a project, the information is kept for as long as the working relationship lasts and for the retention period our tax and contract obligations require afterwards.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS. The enquiry form is protected against automated abuse and cross-site request forgery, and rate-limited. Stored enquiries sit outside the publicly reachable part of the server and are not accessible from the web.

No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

Your rights under POPIA

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You may also object to us processing it, and you may withdraw the consent you gave when you sent the form.

Email inquiry@nortsideconnect.co.za and we will action it within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforeg@justice.gov.za.

Clicking our WhatsApp link opens WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta and has its own privacy terms. Where analytics are enabled on this site, they are configured to measure traffic rather than to identify individuals.
